This book is super cute and shows two different ladybugs trying to eat aphids。 The grouchy ladybug did not want to share with the other ladybug。 This book shows two ladybugs having a conversation。 This grouchy ladybug went around to all the different animals trying to fight them because he was not happy。 Finally, he tried to fight a whale but the whale was too big and sent him flying through the air。 The ladybug ended back where he started hungry and tired。 The friendly ladybug offered to share This book is super cute and shows two different ladybugs trying to eat aphids。 The grouchy ladybug did not want to share with the other ladybug。 This book shows two ladybugs having a conversation。 This grouchy ladybug went around to all the different animals trying to fight them because he was not happy。 Finally, he tried to fight a whale but the whale was too big and sent him flying through the air。 The ladybug ended back where he started hungry and tired。 The friendly ladybug offered to share the food with him。 The grouchy ladybug realized how nice it was of the friendly ladybug to share with him and was no longer angry。 Children will learn how to control their anger and realize there is no need to be bad。 。。。more

The grouchy Ladybug is a good book that touches on different things like manners and attitude。 I like this book and think it would be great for talking about how sometimes we are in bad moods but how we need to control ourselves and be kind anyways。

I like this book。 Children can learn so many different things。 I will read this book to teach children about the different sizes of animals and insects。

This is a good funny book。 The grouchy ladybug tries to start a fight with everyone who is bigger then her。 When I read the book to children they will enjoy the ladybug repeating herself over and over。 I really like this book。

The best part about this book is how the ladybug learns to use manners and become very kind at the end。 This was a cute story to teach our young children about their actions around others。

A book meant to teach animal characteristics, time, and manners is a book with good intentions。 Used it for social skills training in that being grumpy causes no one to want you around

The Grouchy Ladybug is about ladybug who is really really mean and grouchy。 The book has great illustrations with nice bold and bright colors。 I love to use this book in my classroom when discussing the them in the grass because ladybugs tend to live in the grass。 I would also use this book and recoemend this book to teachers and parents/guardians who are teaching children emotions。

We dont always get what we want and we should always be respectful and kind。 This book teaches exactly that。

Just leave it to the tail of a whale to show that grouchy ladybug who is the boss。 HA! Cute story。

The Grouchy Ladybug challenges a series of ever larger animals to a fight until he is finally humbled。This picture book uses a repetitive phrase, allowing children to anticipate what will happen next and participate in the story。 It also introduces the concept of telling time on an analog clock through illustrations in the upper right-hand corner。

The story is about a grouchy, mean ladybug that thinks it can have things its way。 The moral of the story is to teach children to say please and thank you and how to treat others。 The illustrations were simple, colorful, and vivid。 It looks like it was drawn with paint or watercolors。 This story teaches children about size, colors, and manners。 The voice I heard throughout the story was pessimistic because it mainly focused on the grouchy ladybug trying to pick a fight with animals and insects b The story is about a grouchy, mean ladybug that thinks it can have things its way。 The moral of the story is to teach children to say please and thank you and how to treat others。 The illustrations were simple, colorful, and vivid。 It looks like it was drawn with paint or watercolors。 This story teaches children about size, colors, and manners。 The voice I heard throughout the story was pessimistic because it mainly focused on the grouchy ladybug trying to pick a fight with animals and insects bigger than it。 。。。more

This book is very well done。 It has more written as far as the story goes, so I assume it is meant for a bit higher of a reading level group。 The typography is clear and bunched together to make for easier reading。

Got this book because we like Eric Carle books, and this book deals with attitudes, time, and size differences。 Great topics/themes for my 4yo kids。 The kids love this book, especially the whale’s tail!

In the beginning, we see a grouchy ladybug who is unwilling to share his food with a friendly ladybug。 He gets mad and goes on a quest looking for someone to fight。 As he looks, he encounters many that said okay to his fight, but the ladybug continuously says they are never big enough。 Eventually, a tail of a whale slaps him a good one which rockets him right back to where he started。 The friendly ladybug offers to share the food once more, and the grouchy ladybug (who is not grouchy anymore) ac In the beginning, we see a grouchy ladybug who is unwilling to share his food with a friendly ladybug。 He gets mad and goes on a quest looking for someone to fight。 As he looks, he encounters many that said okay to his fight, but the ladybug continuously says they are never big enough。 Eventually, a tail of a whale slaps him a good one which rockets him right back to where he started。 The friendly ladybug offers to share the food once more, and the grouchy ladybug (who is not grouchy anymore) accepts the food thankfully。 This book is illustrated by the famous Eric Carle。 So, of course, I love the beautiful bright, organic pictures he provided for the story。 The layout and structure of the book are also interesting。 It is something I think students and any young child would enjoy because it is not formatted to have the normal pages。 Also, the story has a ton of repetition in it。 Finally, I think this would be a great interconnection book between math and the language arts。 At the top of each little subpage, there is a drawing of a clock that shows when the ladybug met his opponent。 That is something the students could pick up on which might mean this is a good read to introduce the telling of time。 Overall, a good book for the classroom; I just do not personally find it that interesting。 。。。more

I like that the story also promotes good manners such as saying "thank you" to others。 This book would be great to introduce numbers and sizes when teaching math skills。 I like that the story also promotes good manners such as saying "thank you" to others。 This book would be great to introduce numbers and sizes when teaching math skills。 。。。more

With age-appropriate children, this book can teach them how to friendly with people you meet, and being angry doesn’t solve anything。 It can be harmful to be angry all the time and never make friends。 The grouchy ladybug book also teaches children how to tell time while looking at colorful creatures that are getting bigger to teach the grouchy lady how to be nicer。

I like the intent of this book。 I like the illustrations and the flip pages for progressively later times on clocks and larger animals。 Unfortunately, the phrase "Want to fight?" is on every page。 I guess the moral is if you're upset, go around and pick fights with everyone until someone bigger than you literally slaps you and puts you back in your place。 What kind of lesson is this? This book is packed with all kinds of lesson opportunities。 It has great illustrations and the story line is a little predictable but entertaining。 This book could be used to talk about time, feelings, and sharing。

This book helps introduce telling time to the children by giving the children different times the Ladybug comes and talks to different animals。 The book has repetitive words that the children get used to and start to read on their own。 The book shows the children that it doesn't help at all to be mean and rude to other people。 If you keep looking for trouble eventually you will find it and you most likely won't like what happens, just like the Ladybug did with the whale's tail。 This book helps introduce telling time to the children by giving the children different times the Ladybug comes and talks to different animals。 The book has repetitive words that the children get used to and start to read on their own。 The book shows the children that it doesn't help at all to be mean and rude to other people。 If you keep looking for trouble eventually you will find it and you most likely won't like what happens, just like the Ladybug did with the whale's tail。 。。。more

This book is so fun and yet it teaches character。 I thought it was funny how the little ladybug was trying to start with other animals。

The ladybug in this book is decidely unladylike and is constantly trying to pick fights with everyone。 The only animal who doesn't engage with her is a whale, whose tail knocks her all the way bag to the beginning。 The ladybug in this book is decidely unladylike and is constantly trying to pick fights with everyone。 The only animal who doesn't engage with her is a whale, whose tail knocks her all the way bag to the beginning。 。。。more

Genre: Modern Fantasy Age group: Primary This book is a great read for classrooms! I had never read it before, but knew I would enjoy it because I enjoy reading Eric Carle's work。 The book teaches students about time by telling the time and showing them with a picture。 It also shows students size of animals and how to distinguish between them。 You can also teach students the importance of sharing, saying please and thank-you and not following the ways of the grouchy ladybug。 Genre: Modern Fantasy Age group: Primary This book is a great read for classrooms!
